Macro software
As several members expressed an interest in my macro set up I thought posting a short thing here may help.
The software in use was Helicon Remote - it provides tethered shooting to Nikon and Canon and you will need whatever lead your camera uses for remote control. These are easily and cheaply available on line. You will also want a reasonable (min 2m) USB lead.
Link to Helicon site (which also has a nice Youtube demo of how to use it) is here:-

There is a lifetime licence available if you decide it is worth investing in. Please be aware they offer this as both a desktop version and a mobile - I've got both and find the mobile one very handy when out and about for some of my fungi images - but you need a separate licence for each so make sure you purchase the correct one.
Helicon Focus is their add on that does the stacking for you and experience tells me it is faster, easier to use and generally gives better results than doing the stack in Photoshop - but again this is a payer so if you don't want to spend the extra and are happy to spend a little more time working the stack in Photoshop you can do.
This is a low res of a 10 shot stack that used Remote to do the image taking and Focus to do the stacking. I have no doubt it will be coming to a club competition near you soon.
Happy to answer any questions either here or at club nights.
