Internal Merit Competitions

Every year the club runs a series of competitions for its members and taking part is an excellent way of receiving feedback about how you can improve your photography. Each competition is judged by an experienced photographer from another club whose role is to give a balanced critique of each entry.

There are three categories of competition:

Digital Projected Images (PDI),

Colour Prints,

and Monochrome Prints.

For entries in each Category - the judge will award a score up to 20 points. At the end of the season the member with the greatest number of points in each category will be declared the winner.   After each competition the judge will be invited to nominate his/her favourite image without reference to the highest scoring image.

In addition there is an annual Three of a Kind competition,  where members submit three images on a common theme which can be in the form of three separate images or a triptych.
