Sports Photography Opportunity

Tomorrow Sunday 21st April 2024, there is a downhill mountain bike race at Stile Cop just outside Rugeley. The course is on Forestry Commission land, the public have free access. These events are amateurs riders who are very keen and love their photographs taken, great for practicing your photography skills for fast moving subjects.
The course is hilly and can be slippery so wear sturdy footwear, you can get close to the action so large zoom lenses are not need, personally I tend to use a 70-200mm but shorter lenses will be fine. Car parks can be busy so getting there early can help (before 10am). Car parking areas shown on map, no 1 is best.
Riders practice on the course from around 9am racing starts around midday, the whole thing is finished by around 4pm. If you have a few spare hours it can be good fun.
