Any old ladies T shirts?

Odd request I know but as many of you know I teach First Aid at Work and am on the scrounge for any ladies T shirts size 14 - 18 that I can use to dress my 'Annie'. Need to ladies as my Annie is female. I get through typically 2 a month as they don't survive the defib training session where they are inevitably cut off.

Annie is very flexible fashion wise and has never expressed an interest in any particular colour or style.

I'm not at the club until the next prints night so please don't all rush at once :)

i will have a look for you. Can't promise as I recently had a sort out.

Macro software

As several members expressed an interest in my macro set up I thought posting a short thing here may help.

The software in use was Helicon Remote - it provides tethered shooting to Nikon and Canon and you will need whatever lead your camera uses for remote control. These are easily and cheaply available on line. You will also want a reasonable (min 2m) USB lead.

Link to Helicon site (which also has a nice Youtube demo of how to use it) is here:-

There is a lifetime licence available if you decide it is worth investing in. Please be aware they offer this as both a desktop version and a mobile - I've got both and find the mobile one very handy when out and about for some of my fungi images - but you need a separate licence for each so make sure you purchase the correct one.

Last minute call for prints

I hope that you are all enjoying the summer weather.

I have just been approached by the organiser of the Alrewas Arts Photographic Exhibition to see whether any Lichfield Camera Club members would like to display some mounted prints at the Exhibition. In the last couple of years the number of people printing images appears to have reduced dramatically and they have a low number of images to display.

The Exhibition runs from this Saturday until Sunday 25th August (a week). It will be held in All Saints Church, Alrewas.

If you would like to display some images:

  1. Please would you let me know the number of images asap.

  2. The images are required by this Friday.

RPS Members willing to support Dave Healey

Dear Members,

A long time supporter and member of Lichfield Camera Club, Dave Healey, is offering to become a trustee of the Royal Photographic Society. For this he needs the support of at least 10 existing RPS members.

Dave was a member of our club for many years, and one of the leading lights in the Club's relationships with Lichfield Cathedral 2010-2013. A few years ago he moved with his family, from Sutton Coldfield to Edinburgh where they now live.

He trained as a lawyer in charity law; working as the principal fundraiser for and communications manager of a patronage charity with the Church of England, then being its General Manager, responsible for all aspects of its daily operations (e.g. property, investments, compliance, international relations and strategic alliances), advising (particularly on strategy), servicing and implementing policy.

He was awarded his licentiate with the RPS way back in 1978, and has…
